Nerdporium FAQ:

Q:  What's The Nerdporium's origin story?

A:   We started as an Ebay store back in 2013, then we opened our first Brick n' Mortar retail store in Baltimore on February 14, 2015. We stayed in the brick n' mortar game until mid-2017, before we decided to go completely online-only (with some conventions here and there). We've relocated from Baltimore to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and are currently kicking around opening another retail location (*fingers crossed*). Since the day we first opened up, we've made tons of great memories, lasting friendships, and sold a buttload of awesome stuff to really happy customers!

Q:  Do y'all currently have a Brick n' Mortar retail store?

A:   Not currently! We're working on getting one open as soon as we can though!

Q:  Do you sell at conventions?

A:   Yes we do! Check our Facebook page for announcements for where/when you can find us selling out in the wild!

 

Video Games FAQ:

Q:  Do y'all test every pre-owned game and console you sell?

A:   100%! We also clean everything to a high standard to be able give our customers the closest to that "New feeling" that we possibly can!

Q:  Can you explain the conditions that you sell games in?

A:   Sure! We sell from:
-New (Sealed) - This is a BRAND NEW, fresh from the factory floor game sealed in original shrinkwrap. We won't do what other companies do and tell you a game is NEW but actually is out of the shrinkwrap..
-Pre-owned (Complete In Box) - This is a game that has been removed from shrinkwrap and played but contains all necessary original components i.e. Disc/Cartridge/Box/Manual. DLC add-ons may not be included or if included, codes may be used since we cannot test whether used or not.
-Pre-owned (Disc/Cartridge w/Manual) - This is the game disc or cartridge along with the original manual. It will be contained in either a jewel case or cartridge bag to keep dust out.  
-Pre-owned (Disc/Cartridge Only) - This is just either the game disc or cartridge. It will be contained in either a jewel case or cartridge bag to keep dust out. We add extra protection for this option so the disc/cart aren't damaged in shipping. 

Q:  What is your return/refund policy for pre-owned video games and consoles?

A:   We offer a 30-day money back guarantee on all pre-owned games, consoles and accessories, 30 days from date of purchase. You shouldn't have any issues with our products but if an issue arises in that 30-day window, please first contact us to see if we can troubleshoot the issue for you. If we cannot troubleshoot the issue, we will refund you for the item's cost plus return shipping upon receipt of the faulty product.
Some older consoles will only display video content if the game inserted into the console is also in working condition, so we suggest purchasing games from us as well to guarantee functionality as we can't vouch for products not sold by us. TCG FAQ:

Q: What standard does The Nerdporium use to tell what condition a card is in?

A: We follow recent industry-standard Card Conditioning Standards.
For example: 
Near Mint (up to 3 points of slight damage/imperfections)
Lightly Played (up to 6 points of minor damage/imperfections/grime)
Moderately Played (up to 12 points of minor damage/imperfections/grime)
Heavily Played (up to 24 points of moderate/major damage/imperfections/grime)
Damaged (shows wear/imperfections beyond the standards for other conditions i.e. major grime, tears/punctures/splitting/folding, liquid damage, etc.)

Q: Do you have more cards available that aren't currently listed on your site?

A: Absolutely! We currently have about 50,000 cards available in our stock and only a fraction are listed on our site. If you are looking for a specific card, contact us through the contact form/chat and we will check current stock for you right away!

Q: Do you sell sealed TCG products? 

A: Since we are not currently a brick-n-mortar store, we unfortunately cannot sell sealed TCG products at this time.


Comics FAQ: 

Q: How do y'all determine the condition of your comics?

A: We utilize our 30+ years of experience to determine the condition of our comics. There may be some variance with other resellers. All comics are raw/ungraded unless otherwise noted.

Q: Do you bag and board your comics?

A: Yep! We do NOT sell unbagged/unboarded comics.

Q: Do y'all have pictures of every comic book you sell? 

A: Since we sell 1000's of comics, most of our comic images are stock photos, and not indicative of the actual condition of the comics that we sell. We will happily provided photos of specific books/grades if you contact us and request them!  : )

Q: How do y'all ship your comics?

A: All of our comics ship bagged/boarded and we pack them super well with multiple layers of cardboard/bubblewrap/packing material to avoid damages. For 1-7 books, we will ship books sandwiched in sturdy cardboard, bubblewrapped, in either a poly mailer or USPS Flat Rate Envelope, depending on weight of order, dollar amount of order (up to $150), and/or customer preference (choose your shipping preference at checkout). For 8 books or more, or more valuable orders, we will ship in a sturdy box, bubblewrapped and sandwiched in protective packing materials. 

Q: Do you have more comics available that aren't currently listed on your site?

A: Absolutely! We currently have about 30,000+ comics available in our stock and only a fraction are listed on our site. If you are looking for a specific comic book, contact us through the contact form/chat and we will check current stock for you right away!

 

Shipping FAQ:

Q: I just ordered from y'all. How long does it take for you to process my order and get it in the mail?

A: Thank you for your order! We try our best to get all orders processed and in the postal carrier's hands within 24 hours. Sometimes, due to volume of orders, holidays, or other factors, this simply isn't possible but we always do try our absolute best to get orders out our doors within that 24-hour window.

Q: I have an issue with my order. What should I do?

A: We're sorry you are having an issue with your order! Please email us first at Sales@TheNerdporium.com, before requesting a refund. We will then help you figure out how to possibly fix the issue with your order, next steps, and/or a possible refund if all else fails.

Q: I received my Nerdporium order and it looks like you guys used some reused/recycled shipping supplies. What's up with that?

A: We are huge nerds for everything sci-fi, fantasy, pixely, nerdy, etc. but we also huge nerds for the environment and our planet Earth!! One of the ways we can do our part (you can too) is to try to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. To that end, we reuse shipping supplies, including boxes, air-packs, packing peanuts, bubble wrap, etc., wherever we can. However, we will only reuse shipping supplies that are up to our exacting standards, which are free from dirt, damage, and/or structural weakness. We hope you will join us in trying to minimize the negative effects of human activity on our planet Earth by reducing, reusing, and recycling! Please reuse our shipping supplies from your order for your shipping/packing needs and then recycle when you're done! Your friends at The Nerdporium (as well as Mother Earth) will THANK YOU!!!
